Jill Palermo is the managing editor of the Prince William Times. She has been a reporter and editor in Prince William County both in the early 1990s and from 2013 until the present. She also reported for daily newspapers in Illinois, California, Florida and North Carolina, covering education, crime and local government.
She and her husband Rick, a retired U.S. Marine, raised their three now-adult kids in Montclair, where they have lived since 2004.
The Prince William Times is a sister publication to the Fauquier Times, locally owned by Piedmont Media LLC.

Scott Elliott is the publisher of the Prince Williams Times. He spent the bulk of his career as a journalist focused on writing about education policy. In 2013, he was the founding bureau chief for Chalkbeat Indiana, a local nonprofit education news site connected to a national network.
He’s won numerous awards for his journalism, including the National Headliner Award for education reporting in 2005. He was president of the national Education Writers Association from 2013-17 and a Knight-Wallace journalism fellow at the University of Michigan in 2004-05.
