Seth Hendler-Voss has served as Prince William County’s Director of Parks & Recreation Department since 2017. Seth received a Bachelors of Landscape Architecture from the Pennsylvania State University (2001) and a Master of Public Affairs from Western Carolina University (2014). He is a Registered Landscape Architect and a Certified Parks and Recreation Executive. He has served in numerous local government roles including Town Manager for Canton, NC, Planning and Development Manager for Asheville, NC, Principal Landscape Architect for Asheville, NC, and Principal Landscape Architect for Atlanta, GA. Seth is the father of two boys and married to the Reverend Amanda Hendler-Voss. In his free time, Seth enjoys running, day tripping, and creating art. Seth served on the Board of Regents for the NRPA/NCSU Park Maintenance Management School and currently serves as an instructor the NRPA Park Directors School.
Kisha Wilson-Sogunro brings over 10 years of community relations, event planning, and leadership experience to her career endeavors. Presently, Kisha serves as liaison between city officials, neighborhood groups and the media, in Manassas, Virginia where she fosters and maintains partnerships with city departments and the community. Having earned a reputation for identifying and creating opportunities within the community, she applies her leadership skills towards skillfully building rapport among diverse peoples, expertly addressing and fulfilling the many calls for service required. As Neighborhood Services Manager, she has successfully formed partnerships between churches and neighborhoods and between neighbors of neighborhoods, encouraging individuals and groups to grow as citizens and good neighbors. Steadfast in her efforts to competently communicate lofty ideas that propel the growth and success of a growing community, she is always mindful of the needs of others. Never accepting the negative attitude of naysayers, she keeps her eye on the future as she adeptly delivers creative solutions that overcome major community challenges.
She earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications from Brigham Young University and will have completed her Master’s degree in Strategic Communications and Leadership from Seton Hall University in September 2010. Kisha also serves on the board of the Carteret Mortgage Branch of the Boys & Girls Club, and is currently the President of the Junior Woman’s Club of Manassas. Using her connections to help organizations put on fundraisers and service projects that involve and benefit the community.
