BIO PORTER

Mr. Stevan Porter is the Libertarian candidate for the United States Congress in Virginia's 11th District. A native of the Seattle area, Mr. Porter moved to our region in 1993 and currently lives in Herndon with his wife Johnise. Mr. Porter holds a bachelor's degree in Social Sciences from Washington State University and has been employed in the Information Technology sector for over 20 years.

Mr. Porter is active in the community including 16 years of service with the Loudoun County Volunteer Rescue Squad where he currently is a paramedic and assistant chief. A first time candidate, Mr. Port is focused on smarter, more local government with a special emphasis on criminal justice issues.

• "Stevan" can be pronounced just like "Steven"
• "Johnise " is pronounced "John-is", that is, ignore the e at the end/rhymes with "honest"
