Ron Crowe,
Keynote Speaker
Director of Security and
Crisis Readiness
Prince William County Schools
Mr. Crowe is the Director of Security and Crisis Readiness for PWCS where he has been employed for 29 years. He grew up in Prince William County and is a proud graduate of Stonewall Jackson High School (now Unity Reed High School). Mr. Crowe received an associate degree in Corrections Science from Northern Virginia Community College and a bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice from Radford University. Prior to working for PWCS, Mr. Crowe was head of security for the McLean Hilton at Tyson’s Corner overseeing a 24-hour security and safety program at a 450-room luxury hotel.
In the past three years, Mr. Crowe has implemented numerous new security initiatives, with a focus on accountability, to afford PWCS’ staff and students a safe and secure learning environment.

Jill Palermo, Moderator
Managing Editor, Prince William Times
Jill Palermo is managing editor of the Prince William Times, which is owned by the nonprofit Piedmont Journalism Foundation. She joined the Prince William Times in 2016 after spending more than 20 years reporting and editing for daily newspapers in Illinois, Virginia, California, Florida and North Carolina, including at the Potomac News in the early 1990s. She has won numerous state journalism awards for reporting on local issues. She and her husband, a retired U.S. Marine, raised their three kids in Montclair, where they still live today. On the weekends, you can find them at Belmont Bay, where they enjoy sailing and refurbishing their 45-year-old sailboat.

Manassas City Police Department
Master Police Officer T.J. Rodriquez has dedicated 27 years to the City of Manassas Police Department, serving in roles such as Patrol Officer, School Resource Officer, and Patrol and Investigative Supervisor. He has also been part of the Manassas City Emergency Services Unit and the Department Honor Guard Unit. Currently, Officer Rodriquez is active in the Field Training Officer Unit, Crisis Intervention Team, and Bicycle Unit. He is a certified Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS) General Instructor and a Virginia Department of Forensic Science Breath Alcohol Instructor.
In January 2021, Officer Rodriquez was appointed as a Community Vitality Officer, focusing on 21st Century Community Policing strategies through community-based outreach programs, particularly targeting youth and parental engagement. One notable initiative, the Parent E3 Series, aims to Engage, Educate, and Empower parents to address at-risk behaviors in youth. This program received the Public Safety Innovator Award from the Virginia Municipal League (VML) in 2023.
Throughout his career, Officer Rodriquez has earned several awards for his community contributions. In 2011, he was named Officer of the Year for his leadership during a tragic community event, also receiving the Department’s Honorable Service Medal and the Silver Valor Award from the Prince William County Chamber of Commerce. In 2017, he was recognized as the Field Training Officer of the Year for his dedication to mentoring new officers. In January 2022, he received the Medal of Merit for his role in managing a critical incident involving an armed individual, earning the Bronze Valor Award from the Prince William County Chamber of Commerce.
A long-time resident of the City of Manassas, Officer Rodriquez has been married to his wife, Mandy, for 28 years. They have a 22-year-old daughter, Amy, and a 9-year-old Maltese-Shih Tzu mix named Oakley. Officer Rodriquez holds a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and a Master of Arts in Human Services and Family Counseling from Liberty University.

Kenyatta Grigsby, Presenter
Supervisor of School Safety,
Manassas City Park
Kenyetta M. Grigsby currently serves as the Supervisor of School Safety for Manassas Park City Schools (MPCS). Prior to working for MPCS, Kenyetta was a law enforcement officer with close to 14 years of service at the Manassas City Police Department. She spent a decade as a School Resource Officer, fostering safe learning environments and building meaningful relationships with students, school administration, and parents. Kenyetta’s roles within the police department included Crisis Intervention Training Instructor, Public Information Officer, General Instructor and Field Training Officer.
Originally from Detroit, Michigan, Kenyetta currently resides in Prince William County with her wife, four-year-old son and two-year-old Labradoodle, Charlie.
