PWC 100 March 20, 2014 Program – Should Prince William County Retire its Revenue Sharing Agreement with County Schools?
The annual discussion on the budget for the Prince William School system has begun. Prince William County is the second largest county in Virginia and while the County is affluent, it has the largest average class room size in the Commonwealth and teacher salaries are lower than surrounding jurisdictions.
Is the current system of funding schools the best approach, or are there better approaches to boosting the dollars in the budget? Our panel members will offer their views on this matter and it promises to be a lively discussion. For all the details on the program, please go here.
The tragic events surrounding State Senator Creigh Deeds have once again raised awareness of the available resources to address mental illness in the Commonwealth. Our February program was a detailed discussion of mental health care issues. You can see a video of that program as well as many other past PWC 100 programs here.
